Which document is suitable
A current-form Georgian certificate is usually safest for international use. Soviet-era and old handwritten forms often cannot be apostilled directly.
When a reissue is needed
If the certificate is old, the usual solution is to obtain a modern reissued certificate and apostille that document.
Translation
An apostille authenticates the Georgian public document but does not translate it. Sometimes translation after apostille is enough; sometimes the translation also needs certification.
Timing
Official standard apostille fees are GEL 30–150 depending on speed. Total time depends on whether a reissue and translation are needed.
