Apostille or legalization
Apostille is used where the Apostille Convention applies. Otherwise legalization may be required unless another treaty removes authentication.
How it works
According to SDA, the first stage is handled by SDA and the second by the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; SDA also supports the second stamp technically.
After Georgia
After Georgian legalization, the document generally needs additional certification by the destination country’s diplomatic or consular office.
